A. I wanted to write a story that was different, but one that people could relate to. Also, I wanted readers to understand that one can compromise their live for people you really love. Darian and Monique were closed and loved each other.
A. Darian Cantrall may have been born a country girl in New Orleans, but ever since she moved to L.A., she can't imagine living anywhere else. With a dream job, a glamorous life, no children, and a man who loves her, she has everything she wants. But when her sister, Monique, battles with cancer, Darian goes home to be with her family, unaware that her 52 year old mother expects her to raise Monique's two daughters. Darian never wanted children of her own; her mother is married to a man her daughter's age, and refuses to raise her granddaughters. There is no one left to raise them but Darian.
A. I thought of the title, No Turning Back because it is a true statement for the story. Once you have children, there is no turning back to the life you had before. You love them and want a better life.
A. I came about Darian's character because I wanted someone who didn't have children of her own.
A. I came about Brad's character because I wanted the man to have at least one child. How can one partner understand children in a relationship if the other one doesn't have a child?
A. I came about Louise character to bring some suspense into the story.
A. I chose New Orleans as the setting because some of my novels take place in L.A. New Orleans is different and I've visit there enough to know the neighborhoods, and the city is exciting, (sin city).
A. Out of all the books I've written, Nice Wives Finish First is my favorite.
A. I'm currently working on a book about a woman living with Multiple Sclerosis. This book will be dedicated to my daughter who was recently diagnosed with MS. She asked me to write part of her experiences with it. The book is fiction based on a true story.
A. The message that I would like readers to receive from No Turning Back is helping family can be making sacrifices, but the bigger the sacrifice can be the happiest return in your life.
