Q. Who is Ronnie Mills?

A. Ronnie Mills is a Husband, father, writer and Black Social Worker.

Q. What inspired you to write HEALERS?

A. I had always wanted to write a fictional book but I wanted it to be very different from the genres that Black author are willing to tackle. I was between jobs and the theme of the story came to me via divine inspiration and I continued writing as I returned to work.

Q. How did you come about the title?

A. It was the major theme of the stories and seemed most appropriate.

Q. How did you come about Amizeal's character?

A. I did some research on angels and was fascinated with their free will even though they knew God. That human quality inspired me to create a angelic character that was between good and evil and a victim of his free will.

Q. Why did Rob receive the gift instead of Eric?

A. Rob was the type of kid that was in that phase just before they reach the point of no return. He still heard that small voice inside himself that did not cave into fear. Dre had made up his mind what path he was on and only an act of God could change it.

Q. Is there a connection with Eric, Lincoln and A. Marlene's story?

Rob, Lincoln and Marlene's stories are link by the difference in who they where as people, but also linked by their common lives. They could be people we know or us.

Q.How long have you been writing?

A. I have been writing about 8 years.

Q. Are you currently working on another book?

A. Not at this moment but I am taking notes.

Q. What type of atmosphere do you require to write?

A. Almost any atmosphere will do in a pinch because I turn off the world when I write.

Q. What message would you like readers to receive from reading HEALERS?

A. Just that miraculous things can happen to the ordinary man or woman and they do everyday!
