Ronnie Mills
Interviewed by: Lauretta Pierce
A. Ronnie Mills is a Husband, father, writer and Black Social Worker.
A. I had always wanted to write a fictional book but I wanted it to be
very different from the genres that Black author are willing to tackle.
I was between jobs and the theme of the story came to me via divine
inspiration and I continued writing as I returned to work.
A. It was the major theme of the stories and seemed most appropriate.
A. I did some research on angels and was fascinated with their free will
even though they knew God. That human quality inspired me to create a
angelic character that was between good and evil and a victim of his
free will.
A. Rob was the type of kid that was in that phase just before they reach
the point of no return. He still heard that small voice inside himself
that did not cave into fear. Dre had made up his mind what path he was
on and only an act of God could change it.
Rob, Lincoln and Marlene's stories are link by the difference in who
they where as people, but also linked by their common lives. They could
be people we know or us.
A. I have been writing about 8 years.
A. Not at this moment but I am taking notes.
A. Almost any atmosphere will do in a pinch because I turn off the world
when I write.
A. Just that miraculous things can happen to the ordinary man or woman
and
they do everyday!
