I am a spirit filled Christian lady who enjoys being a wife, mother, mentor, and author. I especially enjoy spending quality time with the elderly.
My Aunt Carrie and I were very close. After her death, I decided to pen a short story and dedicate it to her. You can say I used the writing as a form of therapy.
I knew I wanted the title “Carrie O and Me” but my faith gave me the second part, “What A Woman God Made.”
I did a lot of praying when I was writing this book. You can say God directed my thoughts and guided me into creating this marvelous young lady.
I wanted Mrs. Carrie to have a great impact on the character’s lives and to see the benefits serving a true and living God. I wanted Mrs. Carrie’s spirit to be sprinkled throughout the book which is produced through the characters’ memories.
I started this book in 1994 but I really didn’t get serious until 1999. I prayed and asked God “What was my gift?” God placed a wonderful friend in my life who talked me into completing this story and I am glad she did.
I have a storyline in mind and by the grace of God, I hope to complete it this year.
Yes, Linda does She is a respectful young lady who doesn’t want to bring shame to God or Mrs. Carrie and that is how I am . With God in my life, I have found Psalm 84: 11 to be a very true scripture, “No good thing will he withhold from them that walk upright.”
I want people to see themselves in this book; to examine themselves. I would want young ladies to see how much can be gained in life by being respectful to others. Like in Titus 2: 3-4 I would hope to inspire all mature Christian women to help those in need of direction and guidance from the Lord.
