Q. What inspired you to write "FAITH HOLDS THE KEY?"

A. When I completed Carrie O and Me, I left the readers with plenty of questions. I knew that a sequel would be the answer. So Faith Holds The Key is the answer to those questions.

Q. Which did you enjoy writing the most CARRIE O AND ME or FAITH HOLDS THE KEY?

A. I enjoyed writing Carrie O, because it was my first attempt at writing. As I invented each character I had to stay prayerful, and by doing so, it allowed God to direct the story line.

Q. How long did it take you to write FAITH HOLDS THE KEY?

A. It took me about 6 months to write Faith Holds The Key because it was a continuation of Carrie O. I used the same characters but to keep the readers guessing I added a few new characters to the story.

Q. How did you come about the title?

A. My own faith was being tested as I started to write Faith Holds The Key. I knew that I had to stay faithful to face the ordeal I was going through. One night I was thinking about a title when it just came to mind. I wrote it down and the next day I thought of a second title. As I worked on the story line I made up my mind to use the second title. Shortly, after I was uneasy about the second title, so I decided to take a drive to clear my mind. While driving I came upon a church sign and it read "Faith Holds The Key" I knew then that was my conformation from God, to use that title.

Q. Are you currently working on another novel?

A. Yes, It’s entitled Strength For The Journey. As my first two, it will make you laugh, and cry, but most of all it will inspire you on the word of God.

Q. How did you about Linda’s father character?

A. Alphonso Banks wasn’t going to be stereotyped as a violent, ruthless, lazy and worthless man. I wanted him to be intelligent, strong handsome and most of all God–fearing. As I was putting this man’s characteristics together my own father came into mind, which made it easy to write him into the sequel.

Q. Will there be a sequel to FAITH HOLDS THE KEY?

A. I can’t answer that question at this point. My audience has been asking to make this book a trilogy, but I’m just not sure at this point.

Q. What message would you like readers to receive from reading FAITH HOLDS THE KEY?

A. I would like my readers to know that life is not always fair, but God is. If we trust him and keep the faith, we too can learn that "Faith Holds The Key"
